1. Theatre School at DePaul University, Chicago, Arts Leadership MFA, Two years, The course of study includes full time employment at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater.
2. University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa, Master of Fine Arts in Dramaturgy, sixty four hours, The Department of Theatre Arts sponsors semester-long residencies and short-term workshops by leading playwrights, dramaturgs, and other theatre artists. Many of their courses and workshops are open to MFA Dramaturgs.
3. Mary Baldwin College, Staunton Virginia, Masters of Letters (MFA) with an emphasis in Dramaturgy, two year course of study, This program claims to give both scholarship and stagecraft experience and instruction to it's MFA students which is why they call their MFA program a Masters of Letters.
4. Florida State University, Tallahasse Florida, Doctor of Philosophy, sixty two hours, The FSU program is listed by LMDA as a dramaturgy PHD, however the school's website does not define the theatrical PHD as any one course of study.
5.University of Birmingham, Birmingham UK, MPhil (B) in Dramaturgy, 180 British Credits, This course taught overseas and will give the student the opportunity to get a more "european" field of study.
